Radelo Privacy Policy
Radelo is a radio and podcast app for Android. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use it. The short version: Radelo has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no servers of its own, and the developer does not collect any personal data.
In short
- No sign-up, no account, no tracking, no advertising.
- Your favourites, history, subscriptions, downloads and settings stay on your device.
- The app connects directly to radio stations and podcast publishers to play what you choose.
- Purchases are handled by Google Play. We never see your payment details.
1. Who is responsible
Radelo is developed and published by an independent developer (“we”). You can contact us at luixlabx@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
We do not collect, store, sell or share any personal information. Radelo does not include analytics, crash-reporting or advertising software, and it does not ask for your name, email, contacts, location, microphone, camera or files.
3. Information kept on your device
To work, the app saves the following only on your device:
- favourite stations and podcasts, recently played items and podcast subscriptions;
- playback progress and downloaded podcast episodes;
- settings such as country, Wi-Fi-only playback and the alarm;
- the date you first opened the app (for the free trial) and whether you bought Premium.
We have no access to this information. You can erase it at any time in Settings › Delete my data, or by uninstalling the app.
4. Android backup
If you have Android backup turned on, Android may include your favourites, subscriptions, playback progress and settings in your Google account backup, so they come back when you reinstall the app or move to a new phone. Downloads are not included. This backup is run by Google under your Google account and is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy. You can turn it off in your phone’s settings.
5. Connections the app makes
Radelo has no server of its own. The station directory is built into the app. To play content and show images, your device connects directly to third parties. Like any website you visit, these servers can see your IP address and basic technical information about the request (for example, the app name and version). We do not control them and they have their own privacy policies.
| Connection | When | What they can see |
|---|---|---|
| Radio station streaming servers | When you play a station | Your IP address and the stream you request |
| Radio station websites | When a station logo is shown | Your IP address and the image you request |
| Podcast publishers and their hosting services | When you open, play or download a podcast | Your IP address and the feed, image or episode you request |
| Google Play | When you check, buy or restore Premium | Handled by Google; see section 6 |
| Google Cast and Android Auto | Only if you use them | Handled by Google and your device |
6. Purchases
Premium is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Google Play. Google handles your payment details; we never receive them. The app only receives confirmation from Google Play that the purchase is valid, and stores a note on your device that Premium is unlocked. Google’s handling of your purchase is covered by the Google Privacy Policy and the Google Play Terms of Service.
7. Permissions
- Internet and network state: to play stations and podcasts, and to respect “Wi-Fi only”.
- Notifications: playback controls, download progress and app notices.
- Foreground service and wake lock: to keep playing and downloading reliably.
- Alarms and start at boot: so the radio alarm rings on time, even after a restart.
8. Children
Radelo is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
9. Your rights
Because we do not collect or hold personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete on our side. Everything the app stores is on your device and under your control. If you have questions, write to us at the address above.
10. Station names and logos
Station and podcast names, logos and artwork belong to their owners and are loaded from their own servers. If you own a station and want your logo removed from the app, contact us.
11. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above. If a change means the app starts collecting personal data, we will say so clearly in the app before it happens.
